"FINALLY DONE" -41lbs 2003 SXR 800 "wifes ski"

Thanks for the compliments guys. Its been alot of work. Stilll more to do though.

I agree its going to be so colorfull on the shore line. Like a bunch of overgrown topwater lure's setting there. :lmao:

Finished the tray last night. need to do the rails then all turf will be done.
I'm almost jealous of how soft and plush the tray is, compared to my SJ tray. Having the holds for 25mm pad is awesome. I may have to re-do the SJ. LOL!!

So this ski is finally done. I got it weighed tonight using fastony's fancy new scales. The ski weighs 335lbs. thats 41lbs less. With battery in and about
1qt of gas in the tank and lines. I think there is deff. still a few pounds I could remove, but I got sloppy in my hastyness to get it completed. LOL!!!Things like a carbon ride plate instead of the aluminum, lose the stock F/A's, differtent exhuast, Trim the throttle cable bracket, defoam the pole, etc.... so I see where it could easilly be in the mid to upper 320 range. This is basically going to be her beginner setup so to speak so those things will come. I went with the easiest set up right know so she can just hit the go button and be happy. Went with a nice freshen up on the motor, with .005 TBM base gasket, and .005 Watcon head gasket. So now its' time to take it to the ramp and let her loose.

That is great that you got her ski down to the weight of Keegans superjet, when we get more time and we can make some carbon parts and change the handlepoles it would diffently make the 320 range. Not bad for a stock hull SXR!!

Yeah definitley going to take her down on the weight some more. Just need a little time. I think it'll feel a ton lighter already than the Blaster did for her.
