umm...someone HELP!!!!.....how the hell do i fix this????? i know obviously seal up the e-box....but how do i go about taking care of the wires now..there dosnnt appear to be any corrosion..yet:cool2: ...also does anyone know if the wire thats disconnected goes to the empty connection in there? you never know with some peoples kids these days (mainly the guy i bought it from) :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

i suppose on the positive side...it still runs....the starter solenoid had a loose connection...but it still works

:banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

That really doesnt happen with Yami elec boxes. Most likely it was just re-assembled wrong by the last person that opened it. Its fairly easy to pinch a wire or something and have a water leak. Let it dry and reassemble and it should be fine as long as you dont have any problems already.

well it only had like 4 screws holding it together:rolleyes:

i pankacked pretty hard the last time at the lake then it wouldnt start..when i went to check the fuse water and sand came pouring out:bigeyes:

then i discovered the wires were loose on the solenoid when i wiggled them and i fired back up:banghead:

Yeah...you need about 16 more screws and make sure the rubber seal is good.

If I remember there is one blank connector floating around in there.

wash thoroghly with soapy water, dry it out real good with air compressor.....

when you go to reassemble, put vaseline or dielectric grease in the bullet connectors...

you might want to replace that gasket as well...they tend to get smooshed and not work as well when they get old......

it happens though,

Be glad it was not salt water.
With mine, I take it all out of there, spary it all down with carb cleaner, let dry overnight, clean the empty box with soapy water, & clean all connectors if they need it. I'd replace that gasket and get some more stainless screws for it.
