Little Secret Spot video from Sunday, updated Vids

Present the bottom of the hull to the face of the breaking wave. Too many people hit a re-entry like any other jump and simply continue the kinetic force towards the backside of the wave. Also, if you compress into the ski at point of impact you can unload and get some pretty damn good height off even small waves. The real trick is to land them nose down and clean with hardly a splash....you're on your own to figure that one out :naughty:

The other mistake I often see with re-rentries is when they are basically a sideways nose stab. You can see this in a lot of vids....just look for someone landing almost backwards instead of nose down and flowing out of the wave.
That's good advise for a lot of us! I can count,...uuhmmm, let's see, oh yea! one. One that I've hit and landed proper. And you basically described what happened (by accident) that I've not been able to re-do!
Thanx!

The landing "as per Idok" feels like landing in cottonballs. I felt it once.

"Memory Devise": Present your bottom = show your arse!

Those are some really interesting pics! I like them a lot!

Those PICS I took off a Gopro video. Not the best PICS but its shows us East Coasters going big! I let Lucas wear my cam to get some different video. Those PICS came from the BF around 1:20 in the video below

You guys are going big alright, and in shallow water compared to other places I have been. I liked that third pic so much that I copied it (want to play with it, lol)! I'll check that vid out later, thanks!

Here's another retry...looks cool with the entire pic, but I cropped it instead...I think there is good representation on all coasts really.

Both you and Lucas Rock in that vid! But the west coast guys have sooo much more to work with, on a regular basis,,,,,
You're not really presenting some sort of challenge..are you?
The XS1000 won't make bigger waves!
But...big, to me, is cool! Can't do it(yet). But love to watch it!

Your going to be Backflipping this yr!!! We just need good waves on a Fri or saturday. lol

Your right, the west coast has perfect surf almost everyday. One day I want to take a trip out west & rip out there. Would love to make it to Mexico (Todos) Looked at the surf report for that spot (16ft @ 15 Sec tomorrow) would be so cool riding big surf like that.

One day, I just need to win the lotto

The waves in the A.M may not be big enough for a 701 bf, but they will be plenty big enough to practice some of SpecialFX's re-entry tips!

I'm not here to kiss anyone's arse, but, as in Daytona, I could sit on the beach and watch him ride all day (specialfx).

I'll take advise from a rider like that all day long!

And I could be wrong, but I don't thik he's a Florida guy or a Clalifornia guy....I think he's from New Jersey.

Nice air,Aircraftsalz!!! lt always kills me to know you guys can go out on any given day and as long as the waves are clean....BF'in all you want.Between finding a boat to jump behind and the law writing $110 ticket to the rider, couple of years ago they started giving the boat making the wake a $100 ticket too! Sucks!

On re entry's if you lean the ski over and hit the curling lip it gives you pop and really makes nice re entrys. I was playing on the small white wash with Idok and it's hard to go big or get any pop off the white wash.

The xs1000 hits so hard I'm not even trying to BF, I'm only pulling the throttle 1/4. Haven't been going big lately, just making them look nicer.

Sunday I jumped on Corey's xs Superjet and pulled a big BF.

I was going to big before on my white SJ, Lucas talked some sense into me. You go big like that all the time ur going to get hurt and be out for a while.

Here's a PIC on my SJ, XS846SS ski before I sold it.

Talk to Parrdaddy about going big and where it will get you!.. Wise Advice.

Just got back from the Spot, really clean surf, not very big I would say 2ft with maybe a set or two bigger. Gotta love that XS1000, it will flip white wash, lol

My buddy Flightplandan almost got a 360 nose stab, he was going big. Got a little video, will post it up tonight. Gotta go to work now

oh man, they got me SO good a couple of years ago...I was on the phone at 7am blowing up butti, E the whole crew.....Finally John picked up at like 8am and said in a 99% asleep voice "dude, its april fools..they do that every year"

:bigeyes::cat40::grumble:
