That's good advise for a lot of us! I can count,...uuhmmm, let's see, oh yea! one. One that I've hit and landed proper. And you basically described what happened (by accident) that I've not been able to re-do!Present the bottom of the hull to the face of the breaking wave. Too many people hit a re-entry like any other jump and simply continue the kinetic force towards the backside of the wave. Also, if you compress into the ski at point of impact you can unload and get some pretty damn good height off even small waves. The real trick is to land them nose down and clean with hardly a splash....you're on your own to figure that one out :naughty:
The other mistake I often see with re-rentries is when they are basically a sideways nose stab. You can see this in a lot of vids....just look for someone landing almost backwards instead of nose down and flowing out of the wave.
