For debris "issues" how bout a mesh screen over the scupper/one-way tube in the engine compartment?
For it's not about speed so much as backup. I think my bilge pumps drain my ski quicker than the one way, but not if the fuze blows....
For a week now I've been trying to figure out a manual block off that I can actuate while riding. I'd really rather keep the one way closed off most of the time and open it only when needed.

Have you ever had a bilge pump fuse blow?

That makes alot of sense, just use some coarse stainless mesh.

I've never popped a fuse yet but I've had switches go bad, lines pop off, pumps pop loose from the base...you get the idea, once again it's a preventable scenario. I still like a little backup just in case but I consider the stock siphon bilge my backup.
My ideal dream setup would be dual bilge pumps and stock syphon bilge.
I have seen the down side of the scupper first hand.
Here is a setup I used to run on my 300SX, I took it out when I moved the rear exhaust, if you could find a way to mount it inside the hull somewhere and still be able to actuate it from the outside that would be sweet, its called a waste gate valve.

and thats exactly what i will be running in both of my skis.I still like a little backup just in case but I consider the stock siphon bilge my backup.
