Custom/Hybrid blowsion vs wamiltons

Yes he is, he been there for a while. Being a local im a huge fan of Wamilton's he helped me build my freestyle ski last summer and gave me a great job. All of his products are made to perfection and he will exchange any of his glass products if they fail. UK Steve go to ebay and search for Wamiltons Ebay store I know if you make the right offer you can save some $ on his parts.

blowsion all the way they offer more products if your looking to build a complete custom ski its them for sure the billet inserts right down to the colored turf they do it all and there parts look awesome aswell as perform well

Dont really see Blowsoin as innovative. What do they actually make? A hood, Ride plate, Nose Piece, Footholds. They have some billet small parts with their name on it.. Not really innovative. They say they have custom hulls, but all I have ever seen that they were Lightweight DE hulls. Never seen anybody post about their Blowsion hull.
Wamilton - Footholds, hoods, Nose pieces, Gas tanks, Footholds, Hulls, Hulls, Hulls, Octane design, Blaster Race hulls, SJ race hulls. SXR AM hulls...... There products are just about perfect from fit to finish.
If you surf ride, the Joe Kenny hood is a tank. But for all other, Wamilton really wins in my book. I have delt with both and always had good results out of both.

This is how I break it down...
1) always check the "X" first, you just never know...
2) next I'll PM Jetmaniac if looking for used or call Brian Virgin at Thrust for new
3) Wamiltons
4) Blowsion
I dealt with Blowsion for years when I was still on the west coast but I have to say they had at least 1 error on every single order I placed over a 7 yr span. They always made it right in the end but as stated above, us canadians always get shafted on the duty and UPS fees and it takes months to get back the double duty paid on items returned for exchange.
Kevin still operates Legdrag and works for Wamiltons as well. They have everything Blowsion does and then some, you just have to call. I've had great luck dealing with Kevin and he deals on prices all the time.
Brian Virgin has moved to the top of my list for all new parts. His prices can't be beat and i think he actually has a key to Wamiltons cause he can get parts from them even when they aren't answering their phones. Either that or he has the number to the bat phone. :dunno:
New parts are good but there is no replacement for cheap OEM hard parts and Jetmaniac is hands down the best one stop shop for them and he's always adding new items to his inventory including standard and custom gaskets, X-metal stuff, JSS coils and now he's even offering complete engine rebuilding. Chris has saved me thousands in the last 2 years alone and is a great guy to hang and ski with as well.

We're actually pretty crafty about that kinda stuff, I totally gave props to 2 companies I'm going to hit up later today for parts, LOL. Just have to wait long enough to be sure they read this first. :biggrin:
I should have also mentioned that I use Impros for all my pump and impeller needs and John at JSS for anything carb or electrical related.

I have downloaded every Hot Products catalog in the last 10 years but have yet to find a dealer to actually purchase anything from. I have considered becoming a dealer many times now just to gain access to their parts for myself.

It was very overcast that day/dark hard to tell. The part that looks black is carbon. The ski was raw!

Use to be Blowsion had the wildest paint jobs. Wamiltons were very clean but kinda plain and Chris Maro's just painted really good looking ski's. Difference between Wamilton and Maro's is that Wamilton mainly used flat colors where as Maro's woudl use mostly Metallic's.

Really? I never really sall any of Wammers old paint jobs. I have only been riding skii's alittle over a year. The recent paint jobs that Wam has done he used metallic paints, like the previous pictures i just posted on this thread, it was like a metallic electric blue. It was a crazy sick color in the sun. Im sure a lot of people do great paint jobs im just repin my local shop!

Don't call Blowsion around the time of surf slam. The A-team is at the beach. Someone had a thread about bad service and it was during that time.
