Thats what I thought, so the 03 SXR is still the older style I take it?

I ran a stator out of a '92 750 in my SXR ALL last summer. You just dont use 2 of the wires. Not sure which ones, I can look if need be. Flywheel are the exact same too...

Your right about using a back dated stator (only use the pick up trigger wires) with the new 04 & up CDI & electrical box.
BUT you can't use a 05 cdi with old style electrical system. The cdi will not plug in to the old harness.
