I parted out a couple couches and have enough of the stock quick connect flush parts to install them in my 2 surf skis, I just wonder if it's worth the bother? Do they mess up, break and/or leak so I'd likely not use them anyways?

best way is to backflush from both pissers at the same time..quickmik sells a flushkit that works beautifully!

I was going to tie them in up front with the pissers anyways.

I have a single backflush unit that I use already but will need to invest in a double now that both skis run dual pissers.

when you tie them into the pissers you end up losing pressure becuase half the water just goes overboard.....the key is to force ALL the water back thru the pump

that will get rid of all the pretty coquina shells that are in all of our water jackets...:Banane35:

Good point! I forgot about having to block off the pissers. I use a set of hose pinchers now to block off different lines and that was one of the steps i was looking to eliminate but I guess I just would be moving them to a different location so I'm not really any further ahead.

thats why you gotta put you finger over the pisser when your flushing.

I've had a flush kit in each ski since day one from riva. I've flushed religiously and have never had any problems.
It really depends on your cooling set-up, kinda, but the main idea is to dissolve salt and push it out.
There's more than one way to do that.

If a coquina shell gets lodged, sometimes it won't matter which way you flush. Enter the air compressor!

It's tee'd in between the pump and the manifold. The psi from the hose sends a significant amount of water backward thru the pump. As far as the motor goes, there's water coming and going from so many directions, who knows what's flushing and/or backflushing.

Up thru the manifold, into the headpipe, into the cylinder block, up thru the head, out the back on stockers, out the back or front on aftermarket heads, to the pisser, to the FCV, etc....
Just get fresh water thru it, dissolve salt and put it on the ground.
