FX-1 Removeing The Pump Shoe

Got the shaft in today. I'm so impressed with the 650 pump mod! Thanks JD!

Started on the mat. You need to cut a precise pattern and lay it like carpet, a side at a time. A heat gun is a must! I will stop by the hobby shop tomorrow to get some RC car tire glue and zap-it. Its flexible and will help seal the edges. You can use it like a turkey baster and inject it in areas you may have missed.

More pad work tonight, it is time consuming! .

You can see how I injected the hobby glue to get the pad to suck down. Just poke a hole and squirt it in. Turned the stock handle pole pad stop a 180* and turf it.

Fex-X woke me up at 10:30 this morning with parts from Parker.

Looks great. Have you turfed much before, looks like you have. I like the white accents. That ski is too nice to ride now.

I have not turfed anything like this before. It was not easy (tshank). Like I said a heat gun is your friend and a must! Hopefully I will be up you way before long, don't mind helping you. I could have used a extra hand on mine at times. I tint windows for a living, cutting and pasting precise patterns all day. "to nice to ride"? What, I'm going to beat the hell out of it, but thanks!

I have 3/4 sheet of white left and some pad. Not so sure you want that in a tray tho.

OK, Now we need the ride report!

Ride report is coming soon! I know the pump is going to hook and put the power to the water. I cant wait.

Put a new 440/500 Hydro Turf seal on. Split it down the middle works perfect! Hood fits nice and tight! Plus you get two for one.

tnj you need a new hood seal?

I should be able to shed some water. My bar switch I got from Parker is bad it wont shut off.? Guess I will have to send it back.

Started putting the motor together. Does Pro-x pistons not use a spacer between the piston and the rod on the pin?

My wiseco pistons didnt use the oem piston pin spacers, if they wont fit you dont need them. I wonder if that hood seal is big enough for my sn? Its in dire need of a seal. If it will i'll buy it off of ya. You got a pressure tester made for your motor? I have one if you need it. Its kinda ghetto but works.

Mine didn't, but that was my first rebuild. I was wondering the same.
