Those of you that set set up hand warmers on you skis could you post some pics. If possible with the handle pole pad off. What Im curious about is how you set up the Tee and mount the tubes to stay in place and spray on the grips. For those saying huh? Its a setup running an extra cooling tube up through the handle pole and spraying the warm motor water on the grips to keep your hands warm.

thanks,
Brad

LOL, hand warmers in Florida? :lmao:

I don't have a picture.
Just put a tee into a cooling line right before a pisser. Connect a hose to it and run it up the handle pole. Put another tee on it right at the steering plate.
Connect two short hose pieces and zip tie them in place near the grips.

I tried the tube thing first but had trouble keeping the spray equal between sides and also keeping it spraying in the right place at varying rpms/speeds. After giving up, I drilled and tapped my handlebar for a 3/8" barbed fitting and then put two delivery holes on the top of each grip. IMO this works much better and it is also possible to get some in the face if you take one hand off a grip and gas it. That is really nice sometimes in ultra cold water.

last year the water was warmer than the air in the morning.

it was better to be in the water than the air for me. hot hands is only for the really cold water. a good wetsuit, gloves and booties and youll be golden.

It's also a real nifty way for unintentionally restricting the cooling flow through the engine. Make sure you run a bypass tee if you go this route.

Our cooling systems are set up to run in 90+ degree water (I miss summer). Needless to say, flow isn't much of an issue.
It's so freaking cold down here that I wouldn't be surprised if we had a "Titanic" moment during the ride.

So engines running in 90 degree water don't need a whole lot of cooling water flow through the engine then? :dunno:

This ain't no joke. We are setting records down here (SWFlorida).
If the forecast is close to being correct, daytime temps might stay well below 70 for the next 7 days.
Last time that happened was in 1928.

They need a lot of water so I'm sure we can borrow some to warm our hands with it.

Now read my post again.

If you decide to run that cooling water into the bars with only a couple of small holes as outlets and no bypass, you have created a flow restriction. The engine will overheat and possibly seize.

I doubt anyone is dumb enough to do this without a tee'd bypass, but I figured I'd mention it.

FWIW, I run dual outlets on my head. One goes to a pisser, the other goes up the pole.

Where I use to live ,before I came to US, we had almoust every winter with temps from -25"C to -30"C about -20"F to -30"F
But now I live here and sometimes 20"F feel like to cold

here's my X2 setup:

it needs nothing more than a slight trickle to keep the hand warmers toasty (that was in 45 degree water)
