I was gonna order a 760 motor from sbt, but have always thought they they might not be good motors. Does anybody here have an SBT motor?

the only non-kawasaki i had was a yamaha wave venture1100....I went through 3 sbt engines. First one was my fault, lack of the right amout of oil for break-in period. The second one had a crankshaft out of around(you can only image what that did). The third one, head wasn't torqed down correctly and somehow burned up the front cylinder.:bs2: I finally got smart and sold it after I got one more motor from them. Their customer was good with me, but I don't think their motors are good. Based on my experience. Rebuild your orignal motor, only buy one if you have to.

IF SBT were smart, they would call that guy, with the ENTIRE story in hand, and fix it.

The way I see it is if the heads leak SBT should replace them. No questions asked. If they all leak, as posted, they need to get a new quality assurance manager.

I know I could probably rebuild an engine as I have the mechanical ability, but a rebuild is something I will leave to Paul, Keith, TLR, team scream, etc. Get it done right the first time. Installing carbs, stator/flywheel, head, exhaust, no probs.
Point is, per SBT, unless you are a "mechanic" you are not qualified to assemble an engine.
