Here is my team bill INSPIRED rn. The pole, hood, and nose piece are from Goose and he was on the phone with me through out the entire build. This is also one of if not the first visual carbon hood Goose sold, and it looks pretty great.
THANKS BILL

how much do you make a week??? :tapedshut:

seriously, that hood looks pretty rough if you ask me.

Did you clear it w/ automotive clear? If not you better.

Visual carbon is stupid IMO, especially if it looks like that.
I would leave that to the high end professionals.. W/ that said I have not seen any visual carbon done in this sport that looked good to me. It's a very difficult process to make look right.

How the he77 does it look rough? nd if they ALL look rough whats ur problem?

the fibers are not straight and it's very difficult to get that kind of stuff perfect... If you can't do it perfect then there is no point IMO.. I see no reason for visual carbon at all in this sport anyway...

that's what visual carbon should look like... no creases or waves in the carbon. If you can't do it like that, then why do it???

you never answered how much you make a week...

1200 the hood was 350 shipped

good price, I would just paint it

is it cleared w/ automotive clear?? You better do that before you take it out in the sun. Epoxy resisns do not have the UV properties that automotive clear has and the resin will break down. You will need to seal it w/ a adhesion promoter first like Bulldog or something like that.

A guy at the lake I ride has a visual carbon goose hood and one of his hulls and poles too. Craftsmanship's really nice. I see where slut's comin from but I think it looks sick. Nowhere near as nice as some of the bodywork stuff you see on cars, but still a good looking hood, especially for that price.

Hard to beat for that price, but will that hood stay together beating it in the surf?

I love visual carbon, might not be the way to go but if its layed up right it looks sweet. My new ski is all visual carbon.

We really need a pic in daylight, without the flash. everything looks 10X worse at night using a flash

even so, I would say it was $350 well spent

agreed...

It is sprayed with something that It is super hard and looks great. I dont know if he wants me to give it out cause I think the person that told him said not to. I used it all last summer and keep it outside uncoved a lot. no faiding. I was planing on painting the hood the whole time, I even waited to paint the ski till I got the hood. I really liked it so I didnt paint it. I am a professainal bodyman And have over $1000 in materials for paint on this thing. If i didnt like it belive me I would have fixed it. I didnt touch it.

I don't think that was directed at you....

NICE hood bro.....Me likes it!

Now....
Can you build something like that?

Benny

I can do it. we layed up some carbon at Wyotech and with some patiance and practice I can do anything. Not trying to talk myself up it is just that I do ALL of my own work; car, house, stitches, whatever. Id rather have to do it 2 or 3 times to get it right and learn how to do it for next time then have it done.
