new guy, first superjet

Location

I have a 03 superjet that i just bought, it has a few mods riva pipe, ppi head 175psi, impeller not sure of pitch, footholds, scoop grate, not really sure of what else,
I had it out once, it seems to have tons of lowend. Pulls very hard, more than anything i have rode. but tops out fast. seems like it should have more top end, i have a built kaw 650sx just as fast in top end. i would say about mid 40s,43-45 havenot gps yet. Is there anything i can do to the superjet to get more topend without loosing my lowend.

Very nice ski. Really clean looking. The name of your exhaust pipe is called a "Riva RED Pipe", that pipe looks damn good all blue like that.

If you don't mind, how much did you pick it up for?

Nice Ski it was more than likely built for freestyle because of the fact it has foothold's. Most freestyle guy's gear them down so to speak because they want a hard hit for aerial trick's.You can change your impeller to get more topend but yes you will usually loose down low when doing that a variable pitch would be best. I suggest calling IMPROS and talking to Dave he is the man and he will steer you in the right direction.Welcome to the X. Oh Yeah if you want topend buy a SXR LOL sorry had to say that.

i probably should remove the impeller to see what pitch is in it, i really do like the low end i guess if i had to choose between lowend or highend i would stick with the lowend. that it has.

How do you figure $3K is too much? That is a very clean ski. Sure you could have found one for less but not for that caliber of a ski. I think you did very well.

lol, i found a few nice skis in the 2500 range but was to slow to act. 3,000 was the most expensive one i found, thats probly y it was still there after a few weeks. but if i can get 300 for the trailer it came with ill be sitting pretty good overall. thing around here just arnt selling for much anymore.. the money i spent on this ski was my life savings lol, i figured if im going to go broke, i should do it in style, and buy the one thing that would make me happy even if i have no money lol...
