Theoretically , we never see bottom end with T/L , short props and other performance mods. Most people set their rev limitations from say 7200 to 8200 . Install a tach and see how fast it takes to get to say 4000 . i think when we say "bottom" we are really talking about throttle response and mid range power. I don't think we are ever on the bottom unless we are idling thru a no wake zone.

Exactly!!! So when are we trading motors???

It's ok BK-we all know you have the most awesome motor on the planet.

At least I did business with my friend and not TLR. lol

This was a good thread until admin showed up.

relax-I was j/k

LOL

Funny, TLR did my cylinder in 2002/2003. Did not even know your friend then!
Come on, you can come up with something better than that.

Master, I thought you already decided that it was the full spectruns that worked the best.
If that is what you found then I would stick with them even if they are the most expensive.

nothing really, just wanted to hear some others experiences with them, more valuable than hype,a good carb is a good carb and should work on any motor setup with the right jetting? some users opinions are more valuable than others.......

I find that old buoy racers and drag ski guys with larger boats alot better informed

xlr8... I have them on another ski.this is a new build with a diff motor, trying total loss this time,im not brand partial or builder, just what works, and what i can find a deal on

Building your boat based on what the majority of the people say to do in a newsgroup is not the smartest thing to do. Trying to differentiate between what is right and what is wrong can drive you crazy. It is best to choose a reputable shop and stick with it and don't try to ask other shops to see if he is right because they will never agree on anything. If you are his customer he will help you. If all you do is ask questions and buy the parts wherever it is cheaper he will start to hold back information.

you got one thing right, shopes not agreeing,a large % of that is about $ and where they make it. groupk case in point. Freeride is far from racing, buiders really have no secrets anymore.no one is trying to win anything......most builders are very cool, ive bought parts and machine work from alot of them, but i enjoy motor work and unlocking hp,finding deals on parts and trying new things as well as provin. But i have a few skis so that helps. My main ride never gets a new setup until it has provin itself many times over in a secondary boat.so I miss no rides on mechanical crap. Riding ALWAYS takes priority over screwing with a motor but I do rather enjoy both, and would prefer it rather than just screwing in 4 motor mounts to something I payed out the azz for that someone else built
