Confused on best reinforcing

is that foam or resin bubbles you used to do that.

What is the purpose of even filling that? Why not stretch the cloth across the bond line and let it set. Im guessing water getting behind there but wouldnt be good but i would just figure to build up either side of the cloth.

The bond line goes in about 1/2 inch or so....the glue is also uneven.
You grind the excess glue first then add "filler" of your choice to make it even and smooth. I guess if you are good at it you can grind the glue just enough and make it all uniform and even. Looking at Tomski picture he did just that or add just enough "filler" to make it even but I can't tell as my Glue was green, that seems to be either brown glue or "filler".

Do not leave an empty space in between under any circumstance as it will be a weak spot.....

The point of filling bond lines is to make a smooth transition from the top deck to the bottom deck for reinforcing the whole side.

What is the difference in the foam on UScomposites.com and spray foam that you would buy in a can at home depot used to seat door and window surrounds?

Does it have to do with water not being able to penetrate the USC foam or is it just so expensive cause its got the Coastgaurd approval stamp on it?

the flotation foam is closed cell which means each bubble is sealed individually. the foam in a can is not. it will absorb water. do not use it on your ski.-well unless you want the extra water weight.
