Im just curious it would save seasonal people from fogging and when you do more then flat water circles super fast salt water happens. Or I can ask what are the coolest shoes ?? or what brand of gloves makes me do cooler tricks ?? OR who has thought about putting SPINNERS on a fuel cap or side rail. BLING

Take care of your motor, don't let it sit in the garage for two months when you sink it, and pay $5 for fogging oil.

Problem solved.

I am assuming here but doing something to that effect will up the price on your engine, perhaps quite a bit. I would personally invest on parts for more performance and keep good maintenance habits so that my engines live a long life. But that's me, because I am a cheap bastard.....

But if you got the moola, oh Brotha, go for it and enlighten us with some pictures.....I like some bling on a 2 stroke ski motor.

p.s: sorry for the sarcasm.

My engine has a gold plated crank in it. I'll sell it to you for $2000.

While we're at it, I've some ocean front property in a certain location to sell.

You'd have to tear apart the motor to even notice, or see a tiny bit sticking out the PTO side. Big whoop.

But then, people pay big bucks to lower their trucks.

And just a technical FYI: The bearings would have to be plated, balls, rollers, races.
See if you can find some of those.

Nobody cares if the rods or webs get saltwater on them. Unfortunately, once you got water there, it's also on the bearings.
And everyone knows that it's all ball bearings nowadays.

That's more for the maintenance side. I thought this was all about the BLING.

Why would you have to coat the bearings?

I have a old crank I can get gold plated if you want bling, hang it on your wall and b/s your friends about the crank you ran in your salt water motor.

i was being sarcastic about spinners i am tired of seing stupid stuff like best shoes or what gloves the best free rider uses so i can copy off him or some off the tired old topic that has been on here 1million times. IF nobody has thought about an electroplated crank or berrings or any part for that matter then NO would be an appropriet answer i was just wondering since salt water eats everything has anybody come up with a better idea then an anode.

Do you have problems with saltwater eating at your crank? :dunno:

Here's the better idea: Get the motor running after you sink it and perform proper maintenance. It's not rocket science, cranks in saltwater boats can last for years.
