Different idea for Internal Fuel Filler?

I want to find a better solution to the standard Internal fuel filler options. I had a Blowsions style filler and hated the double tubes in the way for filling, it restricted flow and how far in I could get my nozzle so i splashed more fuel around than necessary.

I was thinking of using an SXR dual pickup setup off to the side and keep the big hole dedicated for just filling, anyone do anything like this already? It's square and flat with a rubber gasket so it should seal pretty decent.

I did it like ksarge's pic, but dremel'd out the stock filler rubber so it fit right on the front filler neck. Very simple, works beautifully and the hoses are hidden.

use the oem tubes pull them out of the rubber , have them heli-arced to a alum plate,
drill you a new hole and atach it with some scews and a piece of rubber for a gasket
home made blowsion pick up

X Metal has your answer, hit em up.

Thanks Parr, I'll give them a call as I don't see anything on their website.

I thought internal fill was a fad are people still doing it?

My new hull will not have an external fill option so I don't have much choice. I've had internal before and much prefer external, that's why I am making improvements to eliminate the parts I didn't like.

I forgot about that mod but I like it. I am not sure if I like not having access to all the connections...not sure if I can remember ever needing access though...

i believe the connections would still be accessible going darin's route. even if theyre not and you need to get to them, its just 2 battery straps and two tank straps to be removed.
