been looking around my area for a new jetski. Lately alot of old js skis have been popping up. I answered an ad in a local paper about a 550 that was for sale. When I got to the old mans house, in was sittin out front. From 20 yards it looked like a sj or newer sxi, NOT no 550. I as got closer i noticed that it said pjs all over. THis thing was like nothing I've seen before. Once the man came out he told me that it was about a '92 PJS f-14. This thing has almost all the parts pjs ever made. He said it was made buy pjs. BUt it has kaw 550 motor. SO, my question is, is this something worth buying.....(for 2 grand).....or I found an sxi pro locally for 1200 more?:cool2:

i wouldnt touch that POS with a 10' handle pole. if you ever need pistons, you have to order kawi pistons then cut windows into the pistons. they handle like crap. theyre 550 based which sucks.

if you have $3200 to spend, you can get yourself a decent roundie SJ or an even more modified square.

what do you plan on doing with your ski? If you are just rec riding on local lakes than any old kawi will do. if you are riding the great lakes or want to get into freestyle then you'll want to think seriously about a SJ with an SXR as an option. if you want to race buoys then maybe the SJ isn't the first choice. What is your price range?

There's a guy around here (I think he's wishihad on X, wishihadasuperjet on wj!) with a 650sx tricked out with PJS. That ski absolutely effen rips!! But he's constantly pulling the motor after any ride...

I did ride a square nose once.... just didnt feel right... the kawasaki shop/dealer is only a 1/2 away from from my house!

the first time i rode an SJ, it didnt feel right to me either. in fact, it didnt feel right for about the first couple weeks. any ski takes time to get used to.

its a good thing the kawi shop is so close since the old kawis are constantly needing to be fixed.

GET A SUPER JET!

brraap....thats so 2002
having the dealer a 1/2 mile away does mean somthing....if its a good dealer. if there the kind of dealer that still doesnt stock spark plugs then what good are they. i got a good deal on a couple of kawis when i first got into it, and i was getting a paycheck from YAMAHA at the time, but i eventuly found a SJ i could not pass up, and havent looked back since.

I must also contest, I rode Kawis for 3 years, and my family members have been riding kawis for going on 20 years, I'm the first one to get a Superjet and I'll never look back myself. I'm selling my SXR right now. I have seen the light, oh thank you X-H20 for pointing me in the right direction. Can I get an AMEN?!?!:veryhappy: :veryhappy: :veryhappy: :veryhappy: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :woot:
