There is a reason Kawi mounted the e-box to a seperate bracket and not to the bulkhead aka hull wall for non fish people. the vibration generated through the hull can damage the electrical components prematurly. But anything to save weight right WRONG. Horse power will always over come weight.

Can you elaborate more? The box is hard mounted to a metal bracket which is then hard mounted to the hull. Hull vibrations will travel through the bracket to the box.......

The hull will flex a bit but the Bracket wont, so the E-box is safe. Getting rid of that bracket to save weight is a moot point. It doesn't weigh that much at all to begin with.

It does make considerably more room in the engine compartment though. Not that it matters that much.

FWIW, I mounted mine to the bulkhead and no problems.
