Foothold Ankle rubbbing protection ideas ?

Buy yourself wrestling shoes. They are rather thin(so easy to dry), the have high sides to support ankles and keep you from getting rubbed, and they're not very tall(kind of flat). They're the perfect jetskiing shoe!

I have not tried it, but this looks like it would work pretty well.

that looks pretty sweet. i was going to suggest a wetsuit...although that would suck to have to be hot all the time just so you dont get hurt. that shin guard looking thing is just the ticket i think

I used 8mm underpad in the foothole - directly where my ankle would rub - i also wear football (soccer to you boys) shin pads, they have shaped plastic inserts that fit over either side of the ankle as well as a pad that runs up the shin bone - best of all they are £4 a pair here

x2 on the wrestling shoes. they don't weigh your feet down when they get wet either.

wrestling shoes didn't come up high enough to prevent the ankle rash I got from my footholds/turf.
I changed my stance a bit and now it is not as bad.

Some of those "flashdance" legwarmers may work for ya :jester:
