cheap fire extinguishers????

Don't know what the requirements are on fire extinguishers on our skis and don't know how tall the normal ones are, but if these are legal and shorter than normal, this seems like a pretty good deal.

What are you going to do about the Flairs the inspector wanted us to have ???

They informed us at the ramp that they were going to require mandatory safety inspections every 6 months

along other things on this inspectors list that I explained dont apply to us was

Sanitation Devises , navigation lights and Flairs, a few others I dont recall I kept handing the card back making him cross the items off

he was insistant on the flairs said we should carry pocket flairs

seems to me if they are going to Require these inspections they should know the laws themselfs

ya, need to get that damn whistle... haha.

need to find a small extinguisher that i can strap to the top of my battery and put in a plastic bag so when it breaks open I don't have a mess inside my compartment... stupid aftermarket hoods. haha

walmart has them for 10 bucks they are tall and narrow and fit very nicely in the compartment.

i've seen people get tickets for not have Coast Guard approved extinguishers
as much of a PITA it is to carry it, it's a lot less painful then dealing with the authorities on the water...
thats the first thing they check for, because it's usually an instant ticket... TRANSLATION = EASY money for them, especially since many areas ae dieing for revenue... don't worry new taxes are coming out to fix that problem....

would they know if you placed the CG sticker on a smaller one??? doubt it
they don't even know what the CG saftey inspection sticker on our skis stands for anyway....
