hi new to this site can any on tell me if i put a b pipe on my 2009 super jet how will it go and i have heard that the barrells will split :twak:is this true
they tend to crack after being ported if you dont run a girdled head. ive seen unported cylinders crack too, though.
i dont think it makes a difference if its ported or not....
I have had 3 crack and they were all stock cyls......no griddle headancake:
do they crack because of the b-pipe or for some other reason?
so what exactly does a girdled head look like?
the pipe...buy a girdle kit... i think groupk has them if you dont want to run an a/m head
the outside head bolts go all the way down intoo the cases

so if i buy the b pipe i should buy a new head and it will help
Personally, I would agree with group K's assesment. The B-pipe weighs less than a stock pipe and as long as your motor is properly aligned, I would see no risk of excessive vibration, and thus, I would see no inreased risk by running a b-pipe over running a stock pipe. The girdled head should definitely give your motor more security, but nothing is guaranteed when it comes to jet skis. Bottom line is, take time and make sure your ski si put together right; if anything goes wrong from there, there probably isn't much you could have done in the first place; sometimes sh*t happens.
