FX-1 What hood mods for the FX-1

Are their any? I at least need to cut down the factory intake tubes and attach something a bit more flexible. Anything else I should think about?

Also, anyone have a picture of the internals with the liner removed?

The stock FX-1 hood it probably the driest and offers the most amount of fresh air out of ANY hood, even aftermarket. Those crossed 3" poly tubes work real well.

Definitely.. When I bought my Fx-1 a couple months ago I was suprised at the design.
I just noticed on mine that the liner is separating from the hood in the back middle in that little 3" area. Time for a fix.

Yeah, I was having a small separation issue (nothing a little sealant won't fix) and one of the tubes is starting to crack from hitting the cooling line. What Flash posted is exactly what I was looking for. I don't know how I missed it while searching.

Edit: I just looked at my hood and discovered a couple little cracks in the liner and a few other spots where it might crack soon as well, I'll be doing some sort of replacement liner for sure in the near future.

I am always amazed at how well the stock Fx-1 hood works. Ive never even run an electric buildge, my only issue is sometimes they flex out of the seal if I land on the side

Hoods that don't leak.......all fiberglass, no SMC.....30lbs less than SJ, 120 lbs less than SXR.......701 61X motor.........super flickable and very receptive to mods......Nah, FX-1's suck!:sneaky:
