Waves are supposed to be 3-5. I have the day off and was tempted to head to Port Sheldon if anyone wanted to ride. Was hoping to head out there by noon. Waves are suppose to diminish.

ou812,
I will be up at our cottage in Baldwin that weekend. Sometimes a few of us will go over to ride in Ludington for a day that weekend. PM me your number and I will let you know if we ride over there.
Yeah, I ride a lot of Sunday afternoons in the fall. Don't ride Port Sheldon too much in the summer. The cottage owners get kind of pissed when you are riding too close to shore. In spring and fall they aren't around to care.
Idok, Were you from here or have you just ridden here?
Air temps will be upper 60's. You might be okay. I will probably be roasting in my dry suit in those temps.
I am from Chicago on paper, but spent more time in Mich as a kid than chicago...
that beach there is owned by my extended family..WITH riperian rights.......you can ride all day there 6' from the shore and noone can say!
What are riperian rights? It's state law that we have to be like 200' from lake michigan shore.
There is one cool guy with a SXR that has a place on the beach there. He has told us several times if anyone gives us crap to say we are with him.

Usually when the waves are the best, the weather is bad and people aren't out on the beach much anyways. I only had one time last year that I had some complaints. I don't like to piss people off even if I have the legal right to. It's usually those grumpy old people that have all the power and show up to all the meetings to complain about stuff. They have nothing better to do with their time.
riding in MI? that's just crazy talk. isnt it like -385963 degrees there with 5752303 ft of snow on the ground?
Water temps are all the way up to the low 40's now.
Shoot, we will be upper 60's tomorrow. Water temps are all the way up to the low 40's now.
