battery

ok so....i had the battery charging for a day, i came back 3 days later and it was reading 11V so bad battery?

also i have a new fresh battery that is reading 12.67 but when i hook it to my ski and start it up the voltage doesnt really change much it kinda bounces around around 12.45 -12.60

Your charging voltage needs to be atleast 13.

Something don't sound right about those readings. Check the resistance on the stator coils.

charge the agm type batts at 6 amps with a smart charger if your going to leave it for days. I use a reg charger at 6 volts and unplug it after a few hours when display gets close to 100% then let it sit on 2 amps a few more hours.

was the batt hot when you unpluged it after days?

ive tried everything...........................

i put a spar stator, rectifier everything possible and still not fixed, is it possble that my msd could be the problem

also no draws, unless it is only drawing when it gets wet??? idk what to do anymore

Assuming the charging works the same as it would in a 550:

Check for an AC voltage across the charging coil when running. Post your results.

If it's got a voltage, check the voltage regulator. I think it's called a voltage rectifier.

U checked all your wires?

yes i was checking for ac voltage when it was running and it wasnt r4eading that it was charging....we did the same test on my frineds sj and it was reading that it was charging

So, did you get an AC voltage? Was it high(~90), or low(~10)? Not DC.

If it's low, it's either you stator or your flywheel.

I don't think the flywheels can go bad.
