I wouldn't mind dropping some cash on a good one, but I don't want to afford $500 right now.

I paid a buddy a 12pck of bud light to build it for me. I drew it up in ACAD and he welded it. I will call another friend and see if he has any in the works...

Or just build one out of wood and some casters that will come up level to the bed of the truck. Put carpet or hydroturf on the bunks and use some windex and it will slide from the truck to the stand with ease

H2odesperado has the 1st one and has used it successfully for a couple years now. He put some pvc tubes on it and a little carpet to protect the bottom of the ski. It's stable and easily pulled by one person.

I've seen both at their store. The first ones rated for 1000 lbs and is far from flimsy. The second ones smaller and dosen't look as strong but I'd think it could still handle a ski.

You could build a rectangular frame out of wood and mount it to the trailer using some U bolts to make it level with the truck bed. Harbor freight and walmart both sell cheap electric winches that you could mount to the front of your truck bed if you wanted to make it extremely easy to load and unload.
