Xeons Build (3rd times a Charm)

As per 4/20 This is how the ride looks. I have spent countless hours in the garage.

Ripped a section out to check the foam. She is SOAKED. I should be loosing alot of weight. I ended up having to Cut my XFT holds out which im REALLY dissatisfied when i saw the hold was leaking not just from the install but poor mold release or somthing. I should loose a decent amount of weight. I will not be putting Expanding foam back in

New RAZR hood and Nose from Waterdawg. AWESOME seems to be made awesome too.

So motor wise i found out i have Goofed up. I have this R&D head and i have been using an OEM headgasket. I plan to buy the O-rings if i can still purchase them to up the power on this hog.

Also for en extra powerboost i am doing a Slight Port job and polishing to a smooth as glass finish.

I have begun the teardown and i have Wire wheeled brushed alot of metal the last few days. I really wish i had a media blast cabinit and bead blaster instead.

I've got like 5 more blocks of the polystyrene foam that I used in my orange ski... it came out much lighter than the two part foam, and it very strong. If you need a few blocks let me know... i can let you know how I cut and shaped it to fit.

I might have to take you up on that after i get the rest of this icky foam out. I wish there was an easy way to do this.

yeah, defoaming is a sucky job for sure. Let me know, the blocks are sitting in my shop doing nothing. It makes the ski so much lighter, the ski floats very nose down in the water...

let me know if you need a hand... I have to install footholds and turf Nick's ski, but other than that I got some time... well, except for the stump grinder I need to bust out for the 7 downed trees... oh, and the jackhammer to bust up some concrete... LOL

let me know brah...

A Kawi wouldn't have fallen apart like that! Damn Yamahas! Just kidding Xeon.

Get her back on the water!!! What color you paintin her this time?

The Ski will look as follow....

Black gelcoat for top and bottom. No chrome... All black hardware. All black outlets all black anodized, powedercoated, whatever. All super shiney black. Then the Pole , Ride plate, And intake grate are going to be powdercoated the same color of my Kawasaki 636.

Black and Lime green... I just cant part from the Kawi Colors haha

So now that it is getting warmer out my motivation kicked in.

ground the patched corners to bare glass, Rebuilt the nose, Tore the ski down to Bare, Preped it and primed it with Epoxy primer on thursday. I was out of town all weekend. Yesterday I ended up preping the ski for paint and made a makeshift paint booth with tarps. Since i was painting black the thought of dust in the paint made me cringe.

Woke up Wed Morning and Sprayed her at 9am. Sprayed the tarps, walls, and floor with water to keep the dust down. Martin Senour Urethane base coat jet black, and Martin Senour Urethane crystal clear.

It came out Awesome . it makes me wish i spent the extra time finishing the very bottom. I figure ill tear that apart anyways so i did not want to add extra weight to fix it.

Here are some pics. The ride plate and intake grate have been powdercoated to take more abuse. The pole has been powdercoated as well. I Love how its turning out
