How much DAP Glue do I need to buy?

Hey everyone- I am getting ready to turf everything on the ski. Chin pad, rails, and tray. I am in California and none of the stores carry the Weldwood contact cement (RED can) in quarts. They only sell it in 16oz can because of the new VOC requirement. How many 16oz cans do I need to buy to turf a 650sx? Does the Green can not stick as well? Thanks for your info and help.

green can will not work..its water soluble

2 pints to a quart

a pint = 16oz

so take the number of quarts you need and multiply it by two to figure out how many cans you will need

1 pint is enough to do the ski if you only do one coat of cement per piece. And only one layer of underpad. IF you start getting fancy and layer the underpad 2 or 3 times to make a kick pad then you will run out.

Spraying it through a gun uses more glue than a paint brush also.

get 2... on all of our turf jobs we have used about 1.5 - 1.75 of the small cans. we do a minimum of 2 layers on all surfaces and three on the tricky areas like the footholds.
