Skat 12/17 on a stroker SJ

I have a 98 SJ and was wondering if a Skat swirl 12/17 prop would be a good prop for my ski? I was wondering if anyone had a similar setup and running a 12/17 swirl?

-less power than your engine!

i tried the skat 12/17 for one ride after my engine build and it was waste of time. the engine spinned to the not existing rev limiter :scratchchin: as if there were no prop in the pump. its a very good prop for a 701, i think, but that´s about it. i´m running an impros hooker 10/16//-7 now and i love it, call dave - he knows his busines. due to my experiences i don´t think the skat 12/17 will work with your setup

thats what i was running in my ski last year but i dont have anywhere near the motor you have.( i have just a b pipe, head, flow control and a waterbox stock 701 no porting)

big hub c75 12/17 cutback, and tbm pump cone.

its in my blaster now though, and im running a stock 08 sj prop(big hub stainless similar to a hooker) in my 03 sj with no TBM pump cone and stock tail cone.

i didnt ever have a problem with hookup with that setup whether i was in the whitewater in the surf, or a few feet behind another ski in their whitewater.

The 08 prop i only tried for the three days i was in daytona this year. It worked well also and i didnt notice any cavitation.

I would say try that or the hooker you cant go wrong, especially since the TBM should be loading the pump more and helping with hookup.
