I want to ride this weekend and am in need of a Stock 701 61x Head.

Back in Wisconsin my Skis were pushing 165 compression............just checked my compression here in Tampa FL and they are now running 190 psi.

I cant run this compression so I need a stock cylinder head by today or tomorrow???

couldnt you just run 93 octane pump gas at 190 psi?

Im not risking it.........just blew my motor in my superjet for this reason among others!

A yamaha shop back in wisconsin said my compression would not change much by moving too FL..........boy were they wrong!!

i run 185 psi with 93 octane and havent had a problem with pre ignition at all.
im running stock timing though.

not sure if the 5 pounds to 190 makes a difference.

WOW indeed.

I can just picture Chucky dropping a 1000cc monster onto the bench and running into the stock parts bin to grab you a head.:haha:

Im sure they are aware if they have one.......not expecting them to drop everything for a stock head........gezzz

Just plain me....
Maybe he could check some of his own for sale threads. Surely he's got something laying around with all the crap he seems to be selling lately. But I guess it makes more sense to post all day long instead of picking up the phone thing that Penguin speaks of or just buying race gas for the day.

Not sure even where to buy race gas nor do I even want to get in the habit of buying it........if do it this time......chances are I will just keep running it.

I dont really want to run that compression on a used crank/motor........if it has already developed weak spots from years of use, putting that compression may cause it too fail.....not taking the chance.

I wish I did hold onto a couple stock heads over the years but I just gave them away....never thought I would be going back to stock heads!
