and Aftermarket companies like PJS, Westcoast, Team Butch, R&R, Skat, Ocean Pro plus a few others. Guess where they are all now......... Gone. except SKAT!

MFG's ruined it.

I thought pjs was trying to re emerge onto the scene, just under different ownership...

well, I've been watching Fox chop all these 550's , fly 'em into trees, then chop up another one, and he's finished two conversion ski's in less than a month( or there about), so, I guess I'm gonna have to get out the damned sawzall and go to work.
I need to find a trashed 300sx hull I can chop up for the top deck though. I'm still debating on how I'm going to adapt the pump. I really don't wanna cut up three skis to make this thing, but I guess I will if I have to. :grumble: thanks for the inspiration Fox, now my old lady gets to yell at me and throw stuff at me because I'm gonna make a huge mess while choppin' up a bunch of dang hulls..

can't do it charlie, I'm addicted to the little hulls. I have a squarenose, and I really don't care too much for it, other than having a second ski around for the novices.
no disrespect intended.

maybe you dont care for your particular square because its a POS.

you cant just take ONE crappy square and say that you dont like all super jets because of the one shytti old square, on a dishwasher, that you own.

.... well, YOU can....

that ski that was on my dryer isn't a squarenose, it's a js400. and I have 14 js hulls, a 650sx and the yamaha.

my square isn't a POS, charlie. it's really a nice ski, I just can't throw it around and into turns like a little ski, it's just too damned heavy. I had an sxi, it was a big bulky "pos", sold it. I've ridden round nose sj and sx-r's and I still can't ride and control them like the little skis. sorry. :wavey: :wavey:

My ski project will be similar to this when I'm done, except with a lot more modifications to the hulls' top deck and hood system.
I would love to have this ski though, minus the tubbies....... I don't know if the pump has been changed out or not, but that would have to be done, if not. I think the green carbs are the ones they are putting in it, or maybe they just have them for sale......

frikkin' badass

that engine looks like a cold siezure just waiting to happen.....

I've said this before, and charlie made fun of me for it, and he probably will again, who cares...lol, but I want to construct a 650sx shaped and styled hull, the size of a 550, with a flush-mounted handlepole bracket, and an xft carbon/glass pole. I just think they look friggin' awesome (minus the handlepole setup, and raised nose piece, of course)
this one looks pretty damned cool.....

i know the dryer ski is a 400. i was referring to the dishwasher SN.

14 js hulls? wanna know why you have so many? because people are more than happy to give you their trash for free.

..... you didnt actually pay for them all, did you?

ya, get an fx1 if you like small hulls.... you might actually have to break the wallet out though.

Have you defoamed that SN? When I bought my son's SN that bitch must've weighed 100 lbs(slight exaggeration) more than my roundie. It's a lot easier to throw around now that the lake is under it, not in it.

Why not just buy an FX1......really.

well, Fx's are cool skis too, I would still have to do something about the handlepole bracket. they're not just "up for grabs" or anything, and as charlie stated, I'd have to get out the wallet. js hulls are still lighter than the fx hulls.

defoaming the square isn't an issue, there's just a ton of material making that hull, even with the mmf pole, aluminum waterbox, sizzler, etc... it's too damned heavy. it feels like it weighs twice as much as the 550, I'm sure that's not the case, however I don't like it.

H, I'll get ya some pics, they're in 3 different locations right now.

no, you're correct charlie, I found two of them (550's) in a dumpster, with full electrics, drivetrains, minus one engine. two 440's were sitting in a dump with fulll drivetrains, one electric box, no motors. found a 650sx sitting on a curb at a house that was for rent, no engine, or drivetrain. another hull a friend of mine gave me, but it's long interesting story with that, have to drop it some other time. yeah, all the ski's i've payed for + the ones I've found, I ended up running out of space to keep them, hence the dryer storage method. the only reason I kept that one on the dryer is because I didn't have a garage at the time, and I didn't want to keep it outside, I was in a fairly crappy neighborhood, then.
lol
