water proof mp3 players

I've used my iPod Shuffle by Swimman in the salt now for over a month. As long as you wash it out in fresh water right after it gets wet, it will be fine. I don't ride without music now. It's like riding in a music video!!! Check them out, Swimman will waterproof your existing Shuffle if it's in good condition.

oh, i like this style too. I will definitely be riding with music from now on.

I don't like to have apple products. People like to steal them more than anything else. I forgot my crappy offbrand 4gb mp3 at the gym in an empty locker overnight and someone turned it in. Most likely they didn't even know how to turn it on.

But i will check it out. I want more than 1 or 2 gb. 4 would be nice.

I velcro it on the inside of my helmet, tuck the wires in my wetsuit, and ride without the noise of constant exhaust. Listening to music when riding makes you push yourself as well. I love mine!!!

I have the Swimman Shuffle and their headphones. Highly recommend this setup for anyone wanting music when riding. There's no bulky case to carry around, Swimman waterproofs the Shuffle from the INSIDE.

True, but people usually don't go after Shuffles which are only $50 +/-. I think the whole Swimman set up is around $150 (waterproof Shuffle, waterproof headphones, and a USB charger)

sweet i know where all that christmas $$$is going now. :wavey:

hopefully i have enough let over for a bareskin!

I like to hear the motor. Riding with music would be cool... but there is so much stuff to know just by hearing your motor. Over-rev, sound of shiat breaking, ect, ect. But let me know how they work, i'd like to have one while swimming laps during my workouts!!!

i have a freestyle audio "liquid tunes" with waterproof earbuds but i cant hear it at all with the motor running.

really? thats what we use when we wakeboard...i haven't tried it with the SJ yet tho. the swimman setup is $250 total, the liquidtunes sells for like half that.

Yes, listening to music that is too loud is dangerous out on the water. I keep mine loud enough to hear, but I can still hear the motor to some degree. The strangest part of riding with music is that it throws off your balance because your ears are constantly plugged. Took me a while to get a hold of that.

Riding with 100+ people and not hearing anything but your music sounds dangerous to me lol.

yeah i wouldn't want to ride with them at daytona weekend. But when i ride there are only a few people out and we all watch out where everyone else is at.

Yeah they are very good - the older style headphones that are plastic and wrap around the back of your head arent that good- I switched to the new bass booster ones - Older style fell off sometimes inside my helmet.
