Now that looks like a plan. It's not that I'm dead set on this style of riding. That's just about all there is. Tracks and the high injury potential don't really interest me or the wife and there are plenty of free trails around here.

Trail riding is fun and with the correct gear you can take some good spills and walk away like nothing happened. That is what scared me about trail riding at first-I am used to water.

Just remember you have to buy the bike-but the helmets, and protective gear will cost as well so budget for that as well.

Now you are talking, both my trials bikes are ancient,I have a 1975 TL125 that I have owned since high school and I recently got a 1986 Honda TLR 200 reflex that I am building into a trials bike, both are four stroke and damn near indestructable, also they sip gas and are extremely quiet,I do some technical stuff and a lot of trail riding, when I pay off the house I am getting a newer trials bike probably going for a Gas Gas.Speaking of GAS GAS her is a pretty neat site you might want to check out, nice prices on some of those bikes.

It is defiantly a purpose built bike ,it is not good for jumping, flat tracking ,moto-xing or anything else but plonking, mine are older and not quite so purpose built ,they are still good for trail riding and can go through tight woods sections pretty damn fast, its kinda like a backflip boat ,it backflips really well but it really doesn't do anything else that well, you wouldn't want to ride it all over the lake.
