Custom/Hybrid Where can I find this connecting nut

I have tried fastenal, mcmaster, grainger, and a local place with no luck.

I would ideally would like a reducing hex coupling nut that on one side has M10x1.25 and the other side has M8x1.25 but I know that is probably going to be impossible.

So I will settle for a coupling hex nut that has M10x1.25 on both sides in stainless.

Anybody have any ideas... if I can't find one, I guess I'll by some hex stock and have one made, or take a hex nut that has a tad bit smaller inner diameter and re tap it.

Wouldn't two nuts welded together work? That should be pretty easy to have done.

i dont really understand what your trying to do??..you cant make the stock hardware worK if you timesert the stripped threads?

Found some... Protec Girdled heads use similar connecting nuts and bolts.

$32.85 + tax + shipping for two connecting nuts and two long girdle bolts. They have a $25 minimum order so I order two sets.

yup... but i gotta get this thing on the water.

i would love to upgrade to say an ADA head, but I don't want to pull the cylinder to remove the girdle studs out of the cases. trying to do the least amount of work possible.
