This is something I've been wondering about lately.
I love my Jetcraft Turbomuff (let the jokes begin) silencer, very deep mellow tone, very small and light. The owner passed away quite a while ago, I think in the late 90's/early 2000's.
What if someone started building them, is it ok to use the same design?
Related to that, I think the 24/7 SR-71 hood is the best looking hood for a SJ ever, and it does seem like 24/7 is officially dead in pwc. What if someone started making those? Same thing or is it different?
I'm just thinking out loud. I'd love to see silencers made like the Jetcraft ones because they're free-flowing, light, etc and not obnoxious sounding like some others. I'd also like to see more SR hoods because they get cheaper on the used market that way.
Is it any different if someone started making squarenose hoods since they aren't made anymore?
Ok, I just did a search on pwctoday and found conflicting info, did the owner of Jetcraft die or not? http://www.pwctoday.com/showthread.php?t=34023
I'm confused.
