DVD onto youtube from Mac?

I am trying to put a dvd onto youtube with a mac...I dont know how to rip it to the computer or anything...can someone please direct me how to get the DVD disc from my mac cd drive onto youtube?

Any help would be great..

I have a great video I want to share with everyone so maybe I can email the file to someone who knows how.

I saw the thread. Even thought about answering.

I assume this is a commercial DVD which would make doing that a bad thing. Can't help people do bad things.

pfft, just use this, I have it for the pc and it works great. Its new on the mac so I dont know anyone that has used it on that. But if it works the same as the pc one, you can rip ANYTHING you plug into it onto your computer. The quality wont be hi def or anything but it is well sufficient for amatuer use.

oh and what makes you think its an illegal rip? I have a dvd camcorder that records in vob format, the same as store bought copyrighted dvd's. Its layered files and cannot be ripped or copied with any conventional programs. The only program out that I can make copies of them with is dvdshrink. Of course that program can also do alot of illegal things especially with the help of a few other programs, but it is necessary in alot of legal applications as well.

The lack of response from him saying it's legal would help confirm my theory.

Try renaming your .vob files to .mpg. If it's standard DVD format that usually works. The hard part is usually the audio.
