Just found it also has a SBN46 and the Protec nozzle is 82mm...what is stock?

Any clues why the PO would use BR9ES plugs???

My stock 97 calls for A 9 heat range plug. But I run an 8 in the summer months. The aftermarket head must call for a ES length, instead of the HS.

Thats what I figured. Not real sure why he would want to run a colder plug.

Just curious why NGK says to use B8HS. Are stock heads thinner than aftermarket??? Thats a big difference in the reach between the E and H.....little more than 6 mm.

Thanks!!! She has her quirks....but I'm happy so far. Well, except that I missed a ride cause the starter decided to quit working.....and the f'd up cooling routing.....and the excessive Great Stuff foam that was in the pump cavity.

Plans for footholds, possibly de/refoam. Go with a girdled head, maybe some porting. And a few little things here and there.

yes, stock heads are thinner than an ADA head. I don't know about other heads, but an ADA for sure uses ES plugs where a stock uses HS
