Here is a copy of what I listed in a different thread...

So I think I'm gonna have some decent springage here finally. Using a trimmed 750sx spring.

Wouldn't work with the WDK bracket, but purchased an x-metal style single tube bracket and it looks like it will line up pretty well. Gonna mock up the bracket on the ski tonight to see if the bottom of the spring that over hangs the bracket will need to be cut or not.

The stock pole bolt is a little long for the x-metal bracket, but I'll just space it out with washers or something.

The spring is trimmed on the top right after where it disappears into the pole as seen in the picture. I thought i took a pic of the spring by itself, but can't find it.

Thanks Surfersmurf for the bracket and WolfChild for the spring.

I have sent a 61x cylinder to Art at Jetworks to be ported as well as my factory ex manifold and head pipe to be port matched. He wanted to inspect my BJ 46 closely also, so he has that at the moment also.

When I get everything back I'll have the following setup

61X ported cylinder, 81.5mm wiseco pistons
stock 62T cases
New/used hot rods crank (removed from an engine with only 5-6 hours)
Riva girdled head 35 cc domes
V Force II reeds brand new (only cost $208 shipped)
Riva Single carb conversion manifold (thinking about purchasing an ATP)
Black Jack 46 Carb
Wamiltons OEM Flame Flame arrestor adapter running 2 screens
Port matched head pipe and manifold
Water lines routed as recommended by Jetworks with flow control valve
OEM Crank seals and the rest of the gaskets picked up from Troy (Superjet113)

I'll be getting everything back after World Finals, then Carl (DangerBoy) is going assist me in assembling the engine. I have only torn them apart, not put them together.

Thanks to Andrew (Wydopen) for letting me borrow basically every peripheral from his second boat's engine (carb, head pipe, stock 44mm carb). Running all his stuff while mine is being worked on.

F!!!!

It was such a pain in the butt to get that WDK bracket off. The two large allen head screws closest to the rider that hold the bracket to ski were stubborn. Stripped the head of the the last bolt. Luckily was able to get a pair of vice grips on the head of the bolt then twist the bracket to loosen the bolt. After about 5 rotations the vice grips were just rounding the bolt. Then lifted the bracket of the ski as high as I could and used a hack saw to cut the bolt.

So now I have a bracket with one flush bolt. Hopefully it can be drilled out.

Gonna go at it tonight to get the new bracket back on there.

So much corrosion built up between the backing plate and the ski after just 8 months... geez. Wish I had a backing plate made of stainless.

Geez... ACE hardware an home depot suck for stainless hardware. Went there last night instead of Do it Best b/c DIB was already closed. I'll never make that mistake again. Waste of 1 hour and 1/8 tank of gas.

Got the new bracket on. The new spring is killer. Weight feels much like a stock SJ spring. Not quite quite as much tension as Bluegtate's blowsion spring on a UMI pole and 24-7 carbon chinpad.

The x-metal style bracket sits a little higher than that water turd bracket I had. A stock pivot shaft would clear the fiberglass top deck during installation and removal without modification/grinding to one side of the head of the pivot shaft.

I snapped pics, but my wife took our camera to the UCLA football game today. I'll upload some later.

Got the engine assembled last night. Everything went smoothly. Crank turned out to be welded, so that was a plus. Assembling the rest of the stuff like electronics and manifolds tonight, then dropping her back in my ski to ride tomorrow.

Don't like the design of my girdle head. May be looking for a different head here soon.
