read in the paper where they actually suggested that some just hunker down instead of leaving...... Saw pics on tv yest. of the interestates, here in Alabama they reverse the flow of the south bound lanes and take both sides and head north.

That's done as needed here. According to the officials yesterday & last night, traffic wasn't bad enough to warrant having the extra patrol & headache of having the contra lanes.

Just finnished boarding up both houses & packing the the trucks. The water has already come up about 4 ft. and still comming quick. Our pier is already half gone. We were going to ride it out, but It's looking like we are heading to a hotel on the south side of houston for the night.

Moonie and I are packing up and heading out to my brothers house.

I still dont think water will make it to my house.. but we went down to the waterfront and its coming up quick. another 12-15 up and its to my road.

On a serious note, I hope all you Texans fare well with this storm. I used to live in a stilt house in corpus on a canal, and I bet that biatch is gonna have a nice sea as a yard. Tornados - I love em, Snow - I love it, Hurricanes - you can keep that shiat.
