Been helping this old guy named Jerry (part inventor of the Dyna Foil) with converting his Dyna Foil to accept the yamaha 701. He has done a lot of custom stuff to make this work. He says mid month will hopefully be the maiden voyage.

Fully jacketed exhaust chamber. Cut and turned the riser on the stock exhuast manifold. Custom bed plate, blaster engine mounts, custom coupler to work with his gear box... Some really cool stuff. I can't wait to see it fly. He says with all the foil improvements and the new power plant he can fly over 3 ft chop at 30+ mph and ride for about 5-6 hours on a 5 gallon tank.

Pretty neat but where's the tray and handle bars?

How is he getting 5-6 hours from a 701 with only five gallons of gas?

Bars, collapsible foils, seat and stuff still needs to be assembled.

Once the craft is on a plain you only need a tiny bit of throttle to keep it going... Only time you give it real grunt is getting the craft onto a plain. He said he could play around on oil tanker wakes between San Pedro and Catalina, ride to Catalina, and ride all the way back on 1 tank of gas back when it had a 550 engine in it.

Interesting; so this thing rides with the hull out of the water at speed using fins and a prop.

Is he running that with no exhaust chamber,it looks like it goes from the manifold straight to the waterbox.

It appears they're no longer making these since the last one was produced in 1980 and they only made about 500 units.

This thing only weighs fifty pounds more then a stock SuperJet.

Image what this thing would do with even more power inside the hull. :brap:
