RE-confirming that refoaming is the worst job - UPDATE post 181

I have a boggy board and a half in mine. Its been about 8 mouths and all is good so far. The 2 part foam was saturated after 4 mouths. I also have drain plug, I gave up trying to find the holes.

Well then, what is wrong with the install??? Darin was one of the first guys over at PWCToday to install footholds, throw on a lowered freestyle hood. He has been installing footholds longer than most of the guys here. He knows how to properly install footholds. Trust me, there is nothing wrong with his installation.

are you going to install them precooked or a little charred? what about the Chocolate and Graham Crackers?
I did order some new underpad, the new white stuff that is supposedly 'plush'. I think it's just a big sheet of marshmallow myself.
What's funny is if I was trying to hide anything I did wrong, I sure as hell wouldn't have posted pics of it.
The footholds have black spray paint on the back, and the 3M I used all the way around them to glue them in and the foam inside the hull never bonded to them because of the paint. My fiberglass was the only thing holding them in because of the paint. Once I cut the biax, the hold just pulled right off like I was making a mold of it with the foam.
And yet I messed up apparently.

After looking at the install pics, they looks glassed in very well to me. It is hard to tell how they were glassed in in the pics posted in here so far. Hence me saying something doesn't look right instead of just calling it out.

Being the first guy to install footholds or reading more posts about installing footholds doesn't mean your doing it right or an authority on the subject.
BTW BK, my footholds are the same thickness as wammers.
I weight 230lbs , can plate to plate a roll and my footholds in Whitney are still as strong as the day I installed them almost 5 years ago.

there you go! the bi-axial is on on the edge of the foothold where it still has support from the pump cavity. You need it to go inside the hold all the way to the back inside of the holds, that is where their is no support underneath (except maybe some foam maybe)

Steve have there been any design changes over time with the footholds?
Have they always been painted? I recall mine being black but I thought it was dye in the resin.

His are thin, but I dont remember any of his falling apart. Do we need to install 2x4's up under them??? I always thought the foam up under the holds supported them......
