It's the hype that gets you...
You get enough people saying that type 9's are the biz, and all of a sudden everyone wants them, and buys them. The same goes with the b-pipe, and they took off as well as they did because the average Joe can bolt one on and feel a differene without even turning a water screw or carb jet.
Anyone that knows anything about engines wil tell you that there's no such thing as bolt on performance. These same people will understand that a lot of time and effort goes into making something work perfectly. The type 9 is no exception....you won't get much gain by just bolting it on to your b-pipe setup engine.
I am, also, happy to be proven wrong....so I invite anyone out there to do some testing with both pipes.
