800sxr hood and handle pole

I'm tinking about getting a Blowsion umi handle pole conversion for my sxr and also considering a Trinity freestyle hood, anyone using these parts? any input good or bad?

Great parts and the combo worked well for me. watch though the hood is so light it changes the handling of the ski quite a bit.. great for freestyle.. go with a -2 pole

I figured it would change the handling, I notice a differance (positive) when the gas tank is near empty, ski feels lighter and easier to throw around, this is the effect I'm hoping for with the hood, Do you think the umi set up saves any weight?

The UMI will save a little weight, be much stronger, and look alot better.

A Rd nose SJ pole will do all the above as well.... and cost way less.... but will require a little custom fab. A stock rd nose pole will also be ligher then the UMI.

The Hood will defenitly help for what you want out of the boat.

4 deg.. dont plan on putting odi thug plugs in without destroying then trying.. that was before i cut the bars too, they measured like 27.5" waaay too long..


I have a umi on all my boats and besides a RRP i dont think there are many better looking poles.. JK's SJ always looked great with them on..

Oh man, I think there may be a wait right now.... But if you call Bobby he may be able to jam one out for you.

He has two hulls to build before WF's.... and next week he might have a hole lot more then that if a deal goes through. :ugh:

That hood is so light its amazing! Very strong, and I have landed upside down on mine about 30 times so far.
