Turns out 247-760superjet decided that a starter mount made out of a threaded insert and JBWeld would be strong enough....I guess it wasn't. After deconstructing his shoddy work it looks like almost the entire top half of the upper starter mount was JBWeld so either it can be fixed or the cases are junk. Whats the verdict on welding the cases?
Here are the pics: you can see the first one where I noticed something wasn't right. This was right after my motor blew, you can see the void in the top of the mount is filled in (what I noticed first) the rest I did with a small stubby screwdriver and very little force. It was 75% epoxy and a threaded insert...nice work.
