Cool Vids. And that Camera is kick arse !
I had one of those scientific ones, and threw a couple backs and barrels
and lost it in the atlantic ! :banghead: I mounted the crap out of it too !

How is the weight on the chin of the helmet ?
Have you taken a really good impact ? and does it stay there good ?
Is the plastic around the camera mounted to the velcro ?

Thank you !

Yeah, I just don't trust anything that is mounted to my helmet, unless I can see it at all times. And this one you can see at all times!!! This thing has taken some pretty good impacts. It's lasting through my "learning to roll" stage. And I like to land on my head. The camera casing is attached to the velcro. I put an extra velcro strap around it for peace of mind. There is no weight to this thing at all. I've worn it and John (227) has worn it. We both agree it is just like wearing your normal helmet. Like I've said before, if you want a decent camera that takes video and stills, feels like it is not there, and durable enough for the surf, this GoPro Digital Hero 3 camera is the one. I love mine. (and no, I'm not a paid spokesman for the company):naughty:

I think they are rated for 100'. I've only had mine down to 10' or so. The video quality is much better straight from the camera. YouTube quality is grainy and choppy.

i have seen stuff from bikes with the cams and the picture is pretty good for a cam that records to sd cards...

was curious about the depth because sometimes you will find something rated to a certain depth but in actuality it is not the case...

Nothing like the ocean...but at least we great lakers get some waves. I would freak out if I lived in the middle of the country on flat water.

Those waves look PERFECT! I am so used to riding lake Michigan......I can't believe how well spaced out those waves are.
When I ride head high waves I need to be back on the gas the second I land a roll or I will be pumelled by the next wave.
