Just Purchased SuperJet WOES

My neighbor has a riva red, the only way to get that mofo to stay on was to run a stock head. Don't ask me why, but after we installed a stock head with the stock pipe mounts the bolts never backed out again.

If I was having that much trouble I would use red loctite. When you go to bolt the pipe to the bracket, don't pull the pipe to the bracket if there is any space. Shim it with some washers. Not doing so will put a lot of stress on the manifold/chamber flange and cause it to come apart.
FWIW, I had the same pipe on my old square nose and never had a problem with it.

I always though that the Riva Red was designed for the ladies who liked some vibration... :dunno:

those pipes make good power, but WILL FALL OFF-- even tried to tack weld one together afer a surgical assembly and it still fell apart-- i think they have a lifespan-- because it was a good pipe for 3+ years and then decided hell or highwater it was falling apart

It's not the ski it's the riva pipe get a speedworx, riva freestyle or factory type4 they can be had at a decent price and alot more reliable than that pipe. Or if you have the extra cash get a Bpipe

A Factory pipe is in the works now.... I was thinking of holding the RIVA red, and machining(or welding) and converting the three-bolt flange to a "coupler" design on the mani and expansion chamber. I dont see why this shouldn't work so long as there is enough meat on the pipe to work with...If not, it may be worth a try to see what comes out of it for all the rest of the troubled RIVA red suckers out there.... Thoughts?
