Does anyone run the rev footholds from waterdawg kustomz? What do u think of them?

Just wondering if the foot enclosed ones are better than the non foot enclosed ones?

It will be for a fx-1 so not much tray room as it is...
THANKS

Love them! Have them in my 750 and my SJ :Banane01:
the enclosures, I feel, are too limiting and take up way too much tray space
they are a little mor ework to install but well worth it.
I have a SJ build thread here on the x and a 750SX build thread on PWC2Day if you want to see pix

I have them in my F1-pro (aftermarket fx1).......they are a MUCHO difficult install, especially if you want them clean..

enclosed vs. non-enclosed..noone can answer that for you....but if you prefer a tradidtional foothold, go with the non-enclosed...

I have done a couple of sets of holds in teh past..but chose to pay Yamaslut to do this set for me....

$$$ well spent! :wavey:

I agree on this being a tough install. Tom21 did one at the shop and there is a lot of freehand work.

I don't really understand the desire people have of wanting a foothold that makes your knees point inward.

Revs are Humongous, revs are not made to go in a superjet/fx1/anything else besides a rev, revs will hit your exhaust tube, and Revs are from Waterdawg Kustoms. Those are all the bad things about Revs.

The good things- They are cheap

They go into a SJ just fine. They may take a little more time and work, but the exhaust tube is no big deal. I love them. I wasn't sure at first, but after I installed them....I have no complaints.
Sounds like you've got a beef with WK.....but that doesn't mean they're a bad product.
Nothing good is easy.

Nah no beef, just wanted to let the guy know what is up with those footholds. I cannot figure out the reason why everyone likes them so much.

REVs are the best IMO... I love em'

there is a lot of modifications to do when installing, but well worth it and not too difficult

Thanks for all the info guys.
I'm guess'n that there a hard install but worth the time. Thats what i got from the 3/4's of your responses. I may try a pair in one of my fx hulls.

Anyone have a better foothold i should try?

Get the REV's...you'll love them. Depending on how much time you spend in the holds, you may or may not want to get the enclosures. I spend about 90% of my time in the holds and I want my feet to stay there during that time so I got the enclosures. If you do more than 25% cruising, you may not want to get the enclosures because they make it more difficult to ride normally.

WDK does have a bad rap for custom stuff and rightfully so but he has so many footholds in stock all the time that you don't really need to worry. Got mine in a week...installed them in 2 days. I just cut a big hole and fiberglassed it all back together later. No fitment issues on a 750sx.
