Help me with this spark plug problem

Hey guys. I'm stuck with a problem I can't figure out.
I got a '95 WB1. It runs beautifully, but I ran into a problem maybe 3 weeks ago. After riding one day, the engine would not start. It would turn over, but no boom. I changed the spark plugs and it started up with ease. Now it is 2 weeks later, and 2 actual riding days, it happened again. Engine will crank, but not fire. Again, I changed the spark plugs, and not it starts again.

My question: Is there any reason I am killing these spark plugs after only riding them for 2 days?

i can almost be certain that you need to cut back the wires and make a fresh connection. spark plugs dont really die or both at the same time. could be a coil issue or somthing. try to take them out atached to the boot and rest the end of the plug on the head bolt ?spark?

the vibration of the ridding might cause the plug to be unconneted at a point check all that stuff out. any smells or head in the e box. try starting it stopping it jiggle the wires for a bit then start and then stop out of the h20 of course.

Probably weak spark, just enough to fire new plugs. Suspect ignition wires are broken internally near plug ends, shorten them if long enough.

Here are some pics of the old ones. I replaced the new ones with the same type.

As for any changes, haven't changed gas type, oil type, octane. I did use a different oil back in March for one time, I was desperate.

760 coils are better than 701 coils
but dont remove the oem caps off the 760 coil
701 is ok to remove the caps to trim the wires as stated b4
you could have a bad cap
you could have a carb prob
any mods /pipe head ....

It's bone stock 701. Only upgrade is the ride plate. However, it might also be a carb problem as the low set screw is missing.

errr.... you should put a low set screw in the carb before you try to ride or start it.

...and those plugs look more like 2 months old.... not two days old.

I swear they are only from 2 days of riding, my friend on here can vouch. haha.

When I bought the ski, I didn't really look for the low speed screw, but after becoming for familiar with it(it is my first ski and all) I noticed it is missing. I have been riding it like that since I got it.

Is there anyplace I can buy just the screw itself and not spend over $30, or should I just go ahead and buy a new carb or just a rebuild (I was planning on it anyways)

I have never smelled fuel inside the hull. Air, I'm not so sure about.

Vomitspot- If you can find it, I'll def. buy that off you.

So I cut the leads back a 1/2 inch. My battery was very low so I hooked it up to my car battery. Works now.

I didn't know, due to my lack of detail then, but I already had NGK caps, but I just purchased new ones from Riva. When I was cutting the wires, I accidentally pulled the wire out of the tubing, but pushed it back in. Everything still works, but would you guys recommend getting new igniton coil set up or will I be fine?
