Need help fast. Pump issue

I just water tested my SXI for the first time and the pump will not hook up at all. it just cavitates like crazy.

I'm supposed to be taking it to FL in a week, and I cant do it as it is. anyone know what would cause this?

the pump shoe, grate, impeller, etc. all look fine.

This happened to me once at the lake on my wife's 92 SD xp.

Ended up being a 2x1x1 inch piece of wood stuck in the intake grate.

Maybe the grate's deflecting the water??? Dunno. Hope U get her fixed!

check the rubber seal where the pump meets the pump shoe.

I think I found the culprit. it didnt look to bad looking up into the pump, but it's obviously much worse than I thought.

Anyone near GR have a impeller tool I can borrow?

I dont have a spare prop, so I need to fix it. A new one is on my short list of things I need to get.

i'd just buy a tool instead of borrowing one... I think i bought my kawi tool from one of the frequent sellers on ebay for $15 shipped. Or call IMPROS.

it is ok, I know of someone who would just get a pair of pliers and bend them back and run it.

I bought it in Febuary.. this is the first time I've had it in the water. but it spent alot of time on a rock bottomed lake.

hey scott you can call personal watercraft there in grandville right next to the higway..i know for a fact randy has parted ot plenty 750's and can get you what you need.. aftermarket as well...his prices are a little steep sometimes but if you need it he has it

Yeah, no poop. He wanted $20 to get the impeller off only. and that was with me just bringing him the pump itself. last couple times I've gone there he's raped me.

I ordered a tool, in the mean time I tried that method, test #2 coming right up.

yeah the more you deal with randy the cheaper he gets once you spend a couple grand he give you stuff like impeller tools
