what are you guy's doing after machining an impeller to allow for driveshaft length?
after setting back my impeller I have about a 1/2" movement fore and aft on driveshaft I thought about trying to slide engine back or is there a longer coupler I should use?

There should not be much, the shortshaft and driveshaft tend to be in one place, you just moved the prop back on the shortshaft when cutting the back of the prop. I like to move it to the rear of the wear ring.

Shove the motor as far back as it will go and leave about 1/4 inch for engine movement, make sure your aligned correctly as well. If its too tite, you could damage something landing a 20 footer...........
