Not sure on the motor mounts.

You can get the oil block off at atlantic jet sports, Riva, etc.

The raider exhaust won't fit. You can use sj/blaster exhaust, but you'll have to timesert the 62t cylinders and port match the exhaust manifold. I'm not sure if you can use the raider exhaust mani with the SJ pipe, but if it will bolt up then that will be the easiest way to go.

thanks marz,

i honestly dont kno what timeserting is. i kno the sj is 8mm studs and wr is 10 so i imagin it has to do with that.

port match .. is there slop left to right or do i have to actually take metal out? thanks

Mike, sorry for the delayed response. I did some checking on part numbers and they are indeed different. However, with Yamaha, there are only a handful of mounts. The SJ and FX-1 are definitely diffferent. The SJ has an angle. Can you post a picture of your Raider mounts? Don't you have a 2008 SJ? Just take a look at that to see if they look the same.

Timesert is similar to a helicoil, just better. You are correct, the t cylinders have 10mm bolt holes. Actually the easiest thing to do would be to drill your x cylinder manifold holes out to 10mm. You would then have to also open up the openings in the manifold to match the cylinder.

im still lost on the timesert/helicoil.. drilling and matchin not a problem. what if i bought a SJ after market pipe..same thing? have to modify that manifold? thanks

In your case, the Timecert/Helicoil thing is very easy. You mentioned that you have a 62T cylinder, right? That has 10mmx1.25mm threads for teh exhaust. That happens to be the correct size already to accept the 8mmx1.25mm Timecert/Helicoil that is required for your SJ exhaust manifold. If you end up coming by, I can do it for you. I have the installation tool. Just pick me up some extra 8mm Helicoils, or pay me for the replacement (they're cheap):

Not sure if you are clear on why the Helicoil is necessary. The SJ has provisions for only 8mm diameter bolts, whereas the 62T cylinder is expecting 10mm bolts. By changing the 10mm bolt size in the cylinder, you will then be able to bolt on your SJ exhaust with its 8mm bolts (OEM or aftermarket).

now i understand, you just screw that on and its basically like changing the studs right? i never saw that before thanks.

about the mounts, i looked thm up and i know that the part numbers are different, but i read about someon else doing this and they said ( i understood it this way) that they did use them tho. if i have to buy sj ones, no big deal.

you can get some 8x1.25 helicoils and they will go right in the 10x1.25 threads on the
62t jugs without even having to drill and tap it

I think you got it, but you're not changing studs, you're changing the threaded hole where your exhaust manifold bolts will go from 10mm to 8mm.
